Our Method / Business first

Clear intent.
Practical implementation.

Before the software comes a shared understanding of the business—and the way you want it to operate.

The foundation / Your business canon

Your business.
Your way of working.
A shared foundation.

The tools come after
the business is clear.

Before we configure the tools, we help you articulate what your business is and how you want it to operate.

Together, we turn that into a practical business canon: a written source of truth you approve, used to guide AI responses to specific tasks.

What goes into your canon

  • Purpose
  • Audience & value
  • Operating principles
  • Voice
  • Quality standards
  • Decision & approval rules

We turn the approved canon into task-specific instructions and templates, test them against real examples, then refine and maintain the reference as your business evolves.

From discovery to handoff

Measure. Map. Multiply.
With you at every step.

A practical method for defining the business, testing useful workflows, and equipping your team to keep going.

01

Measure.

Start with a consultation and needs assessment. Agree a proposal for the work ahead, then define the business and build a canon for your approval.

A clear scope & a founder-approved canon
02

Map.

Turn the approved canon into task-specific instructions and templates. Configure suitable tools and supported connections, test real examples, and refine the workflow and human review points.

A tested workflow & documented limitations
03

Multiply.

Train your team, document the workflow, and hand over source files in accounts you own. Agree how the canon stays current. Expand after the first workflow works for your team.

Training, source files & an operating playbook

Agreed before we begin

More capability.
Still your call.

Trust comes from knowing what a system can do, what it can access, and when a person needs to step in.

Your accounts.
Your approvals.
Your team’s judgment.

Will AI send emails or make decisions on its own?

The starting point is supervised work: AI prepares summaries, drafts, and proposed next steps. Your team reviews them. Any action permissions must be explicitly agreed, tested, and documented within the pilot.

Who owns the accounts and the work?

You do. We build in client-owned accounts and agree on access before setup. Your team receives the source files, workflow documentation, reusable materials, and training to operate the system. Software costs are discussed before setup and scoped separately.

Which AI platform do you use?

The choice follows your needs, existing tools, budget, and data requirements. We assess fit during discovery and explain the tradeoffs before recommending a platform or connecting business systems.

How do you handle sensitive information?

We agree on which information can be used, who can access it, and what must stay out. Data settings, retention, and access controls depend on the selected platform and plan. We review those constraints with you before introducing business data.

What does getting started involve?

Start with a free conversation. The $750 consultation includes a needs assessment, priorities, and written implementation direction. Canon development, setup, and integration follow a separate proposal. Explore the client roadmap

What happens after the pilot?

We review the results together and complete training and handoff. Optional support can include reviews, troubleshooting, and workflow refinement. We agree the support scope, availability, and response expectations before it begins.

Let’s find your starting point

Founder, Mycel Group

Austin Barnhart

I bring an operator’s perspective to AI. The work comes first; the technology serves it.

01 / Operating background

Start with the business.

My background is corporate consulting and operational performance, with a focus on leadership, profitability and the mechanics of how work actually gets done. That experience shapes every question I bring to AI: What is the business trying to improve? Where does the work stall? What would let the team move with more speed and more confidence?

02 / Hands-on with AI

Learn by building.

I’ve spent years working with these tools directly: organizational models, operating dashboards, executive agents and assistants, documentation systems, and the workflows that connect them. That practice is where the judgment comes from. It’s how I know where the tools are reliable, where they need structure, and what it takes to turn a capable model into a dependable part of a business.

03 / How I work

Clarify the business. Then build the workflow.

I work across the leading AI platforms and stay neutral among them. The right tool follows your purpose, your existing systems, your budget and your information needs, not the other way around.

Every implementation begins with definition. Together we write a business canon for your approval: purpose, audience and value, operating principles, voice, quality standards, and the decision and approval rules that govern the work.

From that reference we build task-specific instructions and templates, test them against real examples, and refine together, keeping human judgment at the points where it matters.

What you keep is everything: the configured setup, the canon, reusable materials, documentation and training, all in accounts you own. We agree how the canon stays current, and any ongoing support is scoped before it begins.
